Guwahati Municipal Corporation undertakes plantation programme

The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) carried out a sapling plantation programme to mark World Environment Day 2023. As a part of the celebrations, they planted saplings of various types of trees on the banks of the Bharalu River.

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) carried out a sapling plantation programme to mark World Environment Day 2023. As a part of the celebrations, they planted saplings of various types of trees on the banks of the Bharalu River.

The plantation programme was attended by the mayor and the deputy mayor of the council, along with several other officials, guests, and local people. The major stressed the importance of trees and requested that the citizens stop using single-use plastic products.
