
GUWAHATI: A delegation of the Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Yuva Parishad (NBMYP) met Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at Lok Sewa Bhawan, Dispur on February 5, and submitted a memorandum on the inclusion of the Bishnupriya Manipuris in the central OBC list, payment of regular scholarships to the Bishnupriya students, and upgrading the Bishnupuri language from class V onwards. The Chief Minister assured the delegation of all help. NBMYP president Rabindra Kr. Sinha led the delegation. NBMYP general secretary Debashis Sinha raised the demand for a Bishnupriya Manipuri Bhawan in Guwahati, a press release said.
