Guwahati: Police arrest woman on charge of kidnapping nephew in city

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati police apprehended a woman on Wednesday for allegedly kidnapping her 17-year-old nephew from the Kamakhya Gate area. A case (137/25) was registered at Dispur Police Station, following which the police launched an investigation.

According to police, the woman allegedly abducted the minor due to a personal relationship. Acting on the complaint, Dispur Police traced the accused to Kerala, where she was arrested. The police successfully rescued the abducted minor and have initiated further legal proceedings.
