Guwahati Police arrested six persons on suspicion of bike theft, snatching

GUWAHATI: Police officials on Monday arrested six youths including four minors on suspicion of bike theft and snatching related incidents. The arrests were made following a raid conducted at Lakhimi Nagar, Shivam Path in House No.09. The apprehended youths have been identified as Dipjyoti Deka (18) from Natun Nagar and Sanju Swargiary (20) from Rupnagar. From the arrested group, the police have recovered two Scotties without number plates, 10 mobile phones, sim cards, spare parts of a Scooty along some articles which are used to break motorcycle locks. It is suspected that the youths were involved in various mobile and gold chain snatching incidents. A case has been registered and the investigation is on.
