GUWAHATI: In a significant move to accelerate infrastructure development in India’s North-East region, the Ministry of Defence has appointed Pradeep Agrawal, a senior and distinguished officer of the Indian Defence Service of Engineers (IDSE), as the Additional Director General at the Headquarters of ADG Northeast Infrastructure (NEI), located in Guwahati.

A 1987 batch IDSE officer, Agrawal is widely recognized as a strategic thinker and a highly accomplished infrastructure leader with over three decades of experience in the design, execution, and policy planning of complex infrastructure projects. His appointment is a significant step in enhancing military and strategic infrastructure in India’s North-East, which remains a high-priority region in the national development agenda, stated a press release.
