Guwahati: Pragjyotish College, one of the premier institutions in Guwahati, has been accredited with an ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), marking a significant milestone in the college’s academic journey.

The college secured a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.01 on a seven-point scale. The announcement was confirmed through an official communication addressed to the principal of the institution.

The principal of the college, Dr Manoj Kumar Mahanta, expressed his delight at the achievement, stating, “It is a matter of great pride that our college has been accredited with an A grade. When the NAAC peer team visited our institution four months ago, we were extremely hopeful for such a positive result. The hard work of every teacher, non-teaching staff, and student has led us to this success.” He added that with this recognition comes greater responsibility to further contribute to the academic development of the region.

The college campus was abuzz with celebration following the announcement. Students, faculty, and staff members gathered to mark the occasion, rejoicing in their collective accomplishment, stated a press release.
