Guwahati Press Club in association with OIL distributes thermal scanners among scribes

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Press Club (GPC) in association with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd distributed infrared thermal scanners to journalists on GPC premises, on Wednesday. The infrared thermal scanners were provided as a token of appreciation to major print, electronic and web media houses in Guwahati.

The general manager of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd P K Kakati said that this particular equipment that has been playing a vital role in taking preventive measures in the war against the global pandemic COVID-19 will be helpful for the journalists to check their health.

The handing over ceremony of the Infrared Thermal Scanners was presided over by GPC president Manoj Kumar Nath and was hosted by general secretary of GPC Sanjoy Ray and assistant general secretary Manisha Kalita. Earlier in the beginning of the programme GPC felicitated IOCL officials P.K. Kakoty, GM (Lubes), IndianOil AOD, R.K. Deori, CM (Lubes-RS), IndianOil AOD, Bhaskarjya Pratik Baishya, Manager (Lubes), IndianOil AOD and Shekhar Jyoti Dutta, AM (Corp. Communication, P&C), IndiaOil AOD with a Fulam Gamusa. The programme was concluded with a speech by GPC cultural secretary Pallabi Bora.
