Guwahati Refinery Observes 58th Foundation Day

GUWAHATI: Guwahati Refinery observed its 58th Foundation Day on January 1, 2020. The Foundation Day celebration began with a floral tribute at the statue of late Hem Baruah, eminent litterateur, parliamentarian and the pioneer whose efforts led to the birth of the Refinery. As part of the celebration, a meeting was organized at the plant canteen which was attended by a large number of employees, a press release said. In the programme, around 75 employees from various departments were acknowledged for their concerted and collective efforts in reducing the water intake from the river Brahmaputra and also for reducing water consumption inside the Refinery.
