Guwahati: A ceremonial Smartphone Distribution Programme under Saksham Anganwadi and Mission POSHAN 2.0 was organized by Women and Child Development Department, Kamrup (M) for the Anganwadi Workers of Central Guwahati, Dispur and Guwahati Urban Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Project at the Bishnu Nirmala Bhawan, in Guwahati.

The programme aimed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Anganwadi Workers in their roles, leveraging technology to improve service delivery.

The event was started with a welcome address by District Social Welfare Officer, Monika Bharali and graced by distinguished dignitaries including Ramendra Narayan Kalita, MLA, West Guwahati LAC., Siddhartha Bhattacharya, MLA, East Guwahati LAC and Debajit Borah, Deputy Director, Women & Child Development Department. The distribution of smartphones is expected to facilitate better communication, data collection, and monitoring, ultimately benefiting the community and enhancing the overall development initiatives in the district.
