Guwahati: Special Court, Assam, Convicted ASI Pritish Gupta in ACB Case

GUWAHATI: The Special Court, Assam, convicted ASI (UB) Pritish Gupta in the ACB PS case (15/2016) and sentenced him to three years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) and a fine of Rs. 2000 for an offence under section 7 of the PC Act and 4 years of RI and a fine of Rs. 3000 for an offence under section 13(2) of the PC Act.

The convict Pritish Gupta, the then ASI of Noonmati Police Station, Guwahati, was trapped red-handed on October 21, 2016, by a team of DV& AC, Assam, after he had accepted a bribe of Rs 5,000 from the complainant.
