Guwahati: Tafiqur Rahman appointed as AMDB Chairman

Guwahati: The Government of Assam has officially appointed Tafiqur Rahman as the Chairman of the Assam Minorities Development Board (AMDB). The appointment, approved by the Governor of Assam, will be for a tenure of three years, effective from the date of Rahman assuming charge.

The order was issued by the Secretary Welfare of Minorities and Development Department, Adil Khan. As per the notification, the terms and conditions of the appointment will align with the existing provisions outlined in the Memorandum of Association of the Assam Minorities Development Board. Rahman will take the charge as Chairman of the Assam Minorities Development Board from Habib Mohammed Chowdhury.
