Guwahati: Three individuals arrested in separate cases in city

Guwahati: The East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) has made significant progress in multiple cases with the arrest of three individuals from different areas of the city.

An EGPD team from Sonapur Police Station arrested Debojit Tumung alias Montra Ray (25) of Patarkuchi, who was wanted in Session Case No. 289/2020. Legal action has been initiated. In another operation, personnel from Basistha Police Station apprehended Sukleswar Deka (51) of Patarkuchi Road in connection with Case No. 6783/2023, based on a warrant issued by the JMFC Court, Kamrup (Metro).

Additionally, the Basistha team caught Ashraful Ali (26) of Boko red-handed while stealing fuel from a parked vehicle in Khanapara. The police recovered around 15 litres of diesel and a stolen Redmi phone from his possession. Legal proceedings have been initiated in this case as well.
