Guwahati: Traffic diversions announced for cycle factory flyover construction

Guwahati: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Guwahati, has announced a set of traffic diversions and regulations in view of the proposed foundation work of the Cycle Factory Flyover. The changes will come into effect from April 23, and will remain in place until further notice.

As per the notification, no vehicles will be allowed to ply from Cycle Factory towards Birubari Tiniali. The stretch from Birubari Tiniali to Cycle Factory will be made one-way, allowing traffic movement only in that direction.

Vehicles commuting from Ambari Tiniali towards Cycle Factory Tiniali on F.A. Road will be diverted near Fatasil Ambari Police Station. They will now have to take the Bishnupur Road and proceed towards Bishnupur Tiniali.

In addition, vehicular movement from Bishnupur Tiniali towards Cycle Factory on Bishnupur Road will be restricted.

The stretch between Fatasil Ambari Police Station to Bishnupur Tiniali, and from Bishnupur Tiniali to under Aaryanagar Flyover, has been declared a ‘No-Parking’ zone on both sides of the road for the duration of the construction work.

The traffic department has urged commuters to cooperate and follow the regulations to ensure smooth movement during the construction period.
