GUWAHATI: A team from Panikhaiti OP of Pragjyotishpur Police Station, in coordination with Noonmati Police Station, successfully rescued a 23-year-old victim after a report of abduction by his father. Through technical analysis and a series of search operations, the team thwarted the abduction attempt and apprehended two suspects—Mominul Haque (30) from Abhayapuri and Nurul Amin (40) from Mererchar. The suspects were arrested at a petrol pump near Forest Gate in Noonmati this evening. Legal action has been initiated.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, in a remarkable turn of event, Master Utkarsh Mohan Bhanarkar, a student from Sainik School Korukonda, was successfully rescued after going missing for over a month. The 13-year-old had disappeared on December 19, 2024, while traveling from Secunderabad to Vijayanagaram.

On January 23, 2025, Utkarsh made contact with his father, revealing that he had been drugged and robbed by miscreants. He also mentioned that he was en route to Agartala. When the parents learned about their son's troubling situation, they quickly asked for help from the Spear Corps. The troops worked with the Railway Protection Force and the Child Welfare Commission to assist.

The authorities worked together to find and rescue the young boy at Agartala Railway Station. Master Utkarsh was given medical care before being flown home. He was reunited with his family on January 25, 2025, ending the difficult situation on a happy note.
