Guwahati: The Basistha Police has arrested two more individuals in connection with the Holi murder case that claimed the life of 40-year-old Tabu Das. The accused, identified as Dependra Ch. Dev alias Shibu (43) and Subhash Roy (28), were apprehended following an investigation into the crime that took place at Bangali Basti, Latakota Path.

The main accused, Pintu Ray alias Bekra (20), was arrested earlier within 24 hours of the incident. He was nabbed from Jalukbari after initially fleeing the scene.

According to police reports, the fatal altercation broke out among four painters while they were consuming alcohol during Holi celebrations. The argument escalated into violence, leading to Tabu Das being brutally assaulted. He was declared dead on arrival at GMCH.

The case, registered under Basistha PS Case No. 156/25, falls under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to uncover further details surrounding the crime.
