Guwahati: Unidentified woman’s body found in Jorabat

Guwahati: In the early hours of Wednesday, around 5 am, an unidentified woman was found in a critical condition near the power house at Ghanshyam Basti in Jorabat. Acting on information provided by local residents, a team from the Jorabat Police Outpost rescued the woman and admitted her to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared her brought dead.

The woman is estimated to be around 40 years old. Locals suspect that she may have been hit by a vehicle. The body has been kept at the GMCH morgue for 72 hours for identification.
