Guwahati: On the occasion of World Meditation Day, Brahma Kumaris, Guwahati, hosted a remarkable celebration at the historic Gandhi Mandap in Guwahati. This year’s theme, “Inner Peace, Global Harmony,” emphasized the powerful role of meditation in fostering peace within individuals and, by extension, contributing to world harmony. The event saw enthusiastic participation from people of all walks of life, united in their commitment to improving mental well-being and building a more peaceful society.

During the event, Damayanti Devi, a member of Kasturba Ashram, delivered a thought-provoking address. She expressed concern over the current societal trend of prioritizing materialistic pursuits at the cost of inner peace, which leads to mental chaos and imbalance. She highlighted that meditation is not merely a practice but a lifestyle choice that reconnects people to their inner calm and enables them to contribute meaningfully to global harmony. She encouraged the audience to dedicate at least one hour of their daily routine to meditation, urging them to prioritize peace over external distractions.

Brahma Kumar Kripa Sindhu from Jammu & Kashmir, a senior meditation teacher with Brahma Kumaris, led an insightful session on meditation and facilitated a mass meditation experience. Over 100 participants gathered in the peaceful surroundings of Gandhi Mandap, engaging in a collective meditation aimed at cultivating inner peace, mindfulness, and a sense of unity.

Dr. Vijay Kumar Gupta, Chairman of Duliajan Numaligarh Pipeline Ltd. (DNPL), a long-time practitioner of Rajyoga Meditation taught by Brahma Kumaris, shared his personal journey with meditation. He recounted how this practice had profoundly transformed his life by enhancing his emotional resilience, mental clarity, and overall well-being. Dr. Gupta emphasized the immense potential of meditation to bring about positive change in individuals, their communities, and, ultimately, the world, a press release said.
