Guwahati: Youth injured in knife attack in Christian Basti area

GUWAHATI: In a shocking incident that has raised concerns about public safety, a stabbing took place in broad daylight in the Christian Basti area of the city. The attack occurred on a busy street, startling pedestrians and local residents. According to police, Nibir Sharma, a young man from Mangaldoi, allegedly stabbed another youth named Diganta Deka. Eyewitnesses state that the confrontation escalated quickly, resulting in the violent act.

According to police, Nibir Sharma has accused Diganta Deka of eloping with his wife, which allegedly led to the assault. Police have launched an investigation and are working to verify the details and take appropriate legal action.
