GV Krishna Rao takes charge as Central Goods and Services Tax Chief Commissioner

GUWAHATI: GV Krishna Rao, an officer to the 1987 batch of the Indian Revenue Service (Indirect Taxes & Customs) has assumed charge on Thursday as Chief Commissioner, of Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST), Central Excise & Customs, Guwahati Zone having jurisdiction over all the North Eastern State Viz Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland and Tripura. Before joining here, he was holding charge as Principal Commissioner of CGST, Mysuru. GV Krishna Rao is a senior officer of CBIC, and has extensive experience having held numerous charges in Hyderabad, Chennai, Mysuru, Vadodara and Vijayawada, a press release stated.
