Higher Secondary Principal’s Forum donates Rs. 5 lakh to Assam Arogya Nidhi

GUWAHATI: The Higher Secondary Principal’s Forum, Assam contributed a total of Rs. 5 lakh to Assam Arogya Nidhi. Besides contributing one day salary from the March month, the forum collected Rs. 2,000 individually from the principals of the higher secondary schools of the state and donated the amount to Assam government’s Arogya Nidhi.

In a press release, the president in charge Kalpana Gogoi and general secretary Abul Hashem Al Aman informed that the principals have donated the amount with a wish to be a small part of the effort put by the government in the war against COVID-19.

The forum appreciated the countless effort of the government especially the Health Department under the leadership of Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and thanked all the frontline workers including police personals and health workers. Thanking all those who contributed for the caused, the president in charge and the general secretary expressed their grief that many of the officials couldn’t contribute due to lockdown.
