GUWAHATI: The Institute of the Brothers of St. GabrielSociety (IBSG), North East Province, in collaboration with CBM, Germany, distributed dry ration to 400 families and sanitary kits to 150 families affected by the COVID-19 second wave in and around 10th mile, Hastinapur, Adarsh Nagar, 11th Mile, 12th Mile, Killing and Chandrapur areas of Kamrup (metro), stated a press release.

Under the theme 'Building Back Better', IBSG & CBM also provided tablets to students belonging to below poverty line and children with and without disabilities so that they can attend online classes. The Principal, Montfort School, 10th Mile, said during the distribution of tablets that the main objective of this campaign was to provide smartphones to the underprivileged and needy children so that they could continue their studies online. The Principal appealed to the affluent section of the society to extend their cooperation so that no student lags behind in studies due to lack of smartphones.
