Indi Global Bharat Summit at IIT-Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Department (SEED) Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah attended the inaugural ceremony of the two-day "Indi Global Bharat Summit 2023: Rising North-East" held at IIT Guwahati on Monday. This summit has been organized by the Assam Skill Development Mission, Government of Assam, in association with IndiGlobal Media Network, emphasizing the forging of collaboration among key government, industry, and academia stakeholders to become the growth partners of Assam and the Northeast, as well as intending to witness the participation of key stakeholders and decision-makers.

In his address to the gathering, Minister Mallabaruah said, "The geographical location of Assam stands as the most favourable location to focus on the implementation of India's Act East Policy. The Northeast region has the advantage of being able to grab the opportunity of the growing ASEAN market and facilitate an environment for investment and industrialization in the region. As per the path-breaking vision of PM Narendra Modi, the Northeastern region is definitely going to be the "new engine" for India's growth."

Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah also launched a special magazine titled 'Rising Assam' published in order to mark the event and inaugurated an exhibition displayed by various stakeholders and Industry partners as part of the IndiGlobal Bharat Summertime 2023-Rising North-East, stated a press release.
