Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) Students Demand Probe Into Brutal Attack

GUWAHATI: Students of the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) have demanded a high-level inquiry into the Sunday’s brutal attack on students of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and exemplary punishment to culprits.

Students staged protest demonstration in front of the main entrance to IITG in North Guwahati on Monday evening and termed the Sunday’s attack in JNU as the black spot in the history of India. “How could one tolerate unidentified goons wearing mask entered the country’s leading university campus and beat up students?’’ a student said.
