'Investigations are on for controversial 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans'

Guwahati: While Facebook and Alt News have claimed that the supporters of AIUDF raised 'Aziz Khan Zindabad' instead of the controversial slogan 'Pakistan Zindabad,' Assam Minister of Finance, Health, Education and PWD, Himanta Biswa Sarma says that a case has already been registered for this and an investigation is underway. Sarma said that why would the supporters of AIUDF welcome Badruddin Ajmal with 'Aziz Khan Zindabad' slogans.

"Facebook does not know who Badruddin Ajmal or Aziz Khan is. It's their platform, and they decide what to post and what not to. But my point is, why would people raise slogans 'Aziz Khan Zindabad' to welcome Ajmal?" said Sarma.

He further added by saying that AIUDF should have given a prompt reply if they were right, and did not raise 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans.

While the debate is on regarding the authenticity of the slogan, protests have erupted across Assam. Various political parties and organisations, including Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Assam Yuva Mancha, have staged protests against the AIUDF's controversial slogan.

Meanwhile, AIUDF issued a press statement where they claimed that they raised 'Aziz Khan zindabad' slogans. AIUDF said that this is a political conspiracy to break the alliance they will get into with Congress in the upcoming elections.
