Jorabat police seize truck of smuggled wood

GUWAHATI: Jorabat police, in a raid, seized a truck of smuggled wood. The truck was carrying the wood from Meghalaya to Guwahati.

The police detained Saheb Ali, the driver, who hails from Howli, Barpeta, and was carrying the wood in the truck numbered AS25EC-1709. Later, a person named Baharuddin claimed the wood to be his goods, but the police detained him as well at Jorabat outpost.
