KKHSOU, CEC for Asia organized two-day international online conference

GUWAHATI: During a two-day international online conference organized by (KKHSOU) Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University in collaboration with Commonwealth Education Media Centre for Asia on April 21 & 22, 2020, a paper suggesting a collaborative model on pandemic preparation in rural areas was presented.

According to the paper the government machineries, public representative and community will work together under the mode during this crisis period. A village-level task force will be formed with the existing government functionaries, panchayat ward members, members of youth and women organizations. The Gaonburah of the village will be the head of the village-level task sorce and the ward member will also get due place in the task force as co-chairman. Under the model, the entry and exit of the visitors are strictly regularized by establishing a check gate at the entry point of the village.
