GUWAHATI: Laghu Udyog Bharati, an industrial organization engaged in all-round progress of the nation, is all set to celebrate its Silver Jubilee year on August 16, 17 and 18 at Nagpur along with a national conference.

BL Agarwal, chairman of Laghu Udyog Bharati, said, “We are expecting the presence of more than 450 districts from all over India on the occasion. At present we’ve 250 members in the Northeast and five chapters are there at five districts of Assam, including Tinsukia, Jorhat, Golaghat, Tezpur and Kamrup”. During the three-day function, Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal, Santosh Kumar, Devender Fadnavis will be present in different sessions of the celebrations where first generation entrepreneurs will be awarded. In a press at Guwahati Press Club on Saturday, the body mentioned a new initiative of establishing a New Industrial Estate at Jagiroad with the help of the Assam government. “For every country small industries are the reliable way for the uplift of a society. The brush industry and silk industry of Assam are potential to resolve the problem of unemployment. Our basic aim is to help the entrepreneurs.” said Agarwal.
