Landslide near Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The incessant rain over the weekend in the city of Guwahati triggered a landslide near the Kamakya Temple, located in Guwahati, on Monday. Although no one was injured, the landslide led to the collapse of a road near the Durga Sarovar. The incident triggered panic among the locals, as there are multiple residences near the road. Officials with the district administration as well as those from other concerned departments rushed to the location after the incident. Steps have been initiated to prevent any further landslides at the location.
