Lyricist Chandan Kakati passes away in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Promising Assam lyricist Chandan Kakati breathed his last here on Monday after suffering from a life-threatening disease. He was 44 years old. Kakati was a resident of Majir Gaon under Azara Police Station. He wrote around 300 songs and gave music in many. He wrote around 100 songs for noted singer Babu Baruah.
