Major reshuffle in Assam administration

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has carried out a major reshuffle of IAS, IRS, and ACS officials. Regarding this, the Personnel Department of the Government of Assam has issued an official notification.

According to the notification, Akash Deep, IAS (RR-2005), Commissioner and Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Environment and Forest Department, Development Commissioner, Hill Areas, State Project Director ARIAS Society is transferred and posted as Principal Secretary-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Bodoland Territorial Region, Kokrajhar.

Padmapani Bora, IRS Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Tourism Department, MD, ATDC, Project Director, AIFA, CEO, CMSGUY, and Director, Tourism, Assam, is relieved from additional charge of Director, Tourism, Assam.

Dr. Karuna Kumari, IAS (RR-2010), Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Revenue and DM Department, and Director of Training, Assam Administrative Staff College, is relieved from additional charge of Director of Training, Assam Administrative Staff College.

According to the Personnel Department’s earlier notification dated June 13 in respect of Pabitra Ram Khaund, IAS (SCS-2010) is hereby cancelled.

Riju Gogoi, IAS (SCS-2011), Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Sports and Youth Welfare Department, is transferred and posted as Director of Training, Assam Administrative Staff College; Farouk Alam, ACS (DR-92), Commissioner and Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Sports and Youth Welfare Department, is transferred and posted as Commissioner and Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Environment & Forests Department.

Kausar Jamil Hilaly, ACS (DR-92), Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Housing and Urban Affairs Department, and Chief Executive Officer, Guwahati Metropollian Development Authority, Assam, is transferred and posted as Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Sports and Youth Welfare Department.

Anbamuthan MP, 1AS (RR-2014) Addl. Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, PWD (Roads) Department, Project ARNIP, and ASRIP is also posted as Chief Executive Officer, Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority, as an additional charge.

Ranoj Kumar Borkataky, ACS (DR-93). Addl. Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Sports & Youth Welfare Department, is transferred and posted as Director, Tourism, Assam.

Partha Pegu, ACS (DR-97), Director, Inland Water Transport, Assam, is transferred and posted as Joint Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, General Administration Department.

Md. Hanif Noorani, ACS (DR-92). Joint Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Transport & Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Department, is also posted as Director, Inland Water Transport, Assam.

In partial modification of the Personnel Department’s earlier notification dated April 29 and in the interest of public service, Lakhyajit Duwaria, ACS (DR-2016), is posted as Joint Director, Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara, and attached to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (M), until further orders.
