Man ‘murdered’ by wife & her lover in Maligaon Officers Colony Quarter, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The dead body of one Gobinda Das, 45, was discovered with hands and feet tied in the bathroom of Maligaon Outpost Railway Quarter no 471 of Officers Colony, resided by officer Anil Kumar Saxena. The deceased’s wife Sheila Das, 30, was taken into custody upon suspicion. Sheila was the second wife of the deceased and she later confessed to the murder. Sheila was in an extramarital affair with one Mahanta Das from Barpeta and the due strangled Gobinda to death after heavily intoxicating him. Jalukbari police later caught the accused Mahanta Das and a case (548/19) has been filed against them.
