Man run over by water tanker at Paltanbazar near Vishal Mega-Mart

GUWAHATI: In a horrific case of hit and run, a man in a scooty (AS 01 DS 3073), while trying to take a turn at Paltanbazar near Vishal mega-mart, was run over by a water tanker (AS 18 A 1545) on Thursday. The man in the two-wheeler, identified as Bimal Boro, 25, of Birubari, died on the spot. The driver of the tanker, Dipu Kumar Boro tried to flee but was chased down by Paltanbazar traffic police.
