MSSV secures 2nd position in 16th All Assam Yoga Festival

GUWAHATI: The Department of Yogic Science and Naturopathy (Guwahati unit) of the Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya (MSSV) secured the second best team in the event of Yogasana at 16th All Assam Yoga Festival organized by the Indian Yoga Culture and Yoga Therapy Centre, Maligaon on Monday. The team from the university grabbed the position among 12 teams from different parts of Assam, informed a press release.

The students who achieved this success were Jaban Rabha, Binoy Das, Sangita Kalita, Pooja Das, Namita Buragohain, Himasri Kalita and Nibedita Choudhury respectively. The team trained under the guidance of Rituraj Boruah, Yoga Instructor of the Department. The students were congratulated by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Mridul Hazarika, Registrar, Prof Mrinal Kumar Bora, Deputy Registrar, (Administration) Dr Shekhar Knt Sarkar, HoD, Dr Ujjwal Arun Maske and others. The event was inaugurated by Assam's Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi on Monday at the District Library here.
