NEDFi releases NEDFi Databank Journal on District Profiles -Assam

GUWAHATI: The North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) has been publishing the NEDFi Databank Journal, an economic journal of the north-eastern region since July 2002. The journal is an effort to attract investments and business to the region as well as be of use for research/study for students, policy makers and perspective entrepreneurs.

In the previous issues, the Corporation already released sector-specific studies on Economy of Northeast, Power, Agriculture, Horticulture, State Finances, Healthcare, Tea, Banking, Education, Microfinance, Medicinal & Aromatic Plants, IT, Border Trade, Handlooms & Handicrafts, Horticulture, Sericulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Tourism, Bamboo, MSME, Food Processing, Textiles. In addition, in the new issue the district profiles of the north-eastern States have also been published, stated a press release.

The present issue of 'District Profiles - Assam' contains district-wise statistical data depicting the achievements made by the state in different sectors of the economy. This will surely help the readers, researchers to get correct analysis while finding results about any research based studies.

Releasing the journal on Tuesday, PVSLN Murty, CMD of NEDFi, said that the relevant data/ information given in the journal would be useful to the readers as it also covers state profile of Assam, including health, education, agriculture and allied activities and infrastructure in Assam. The journal is available for readers at NEDFi Library, NEDFi House.
