Noonmati Police arrested bank manager for siphoning money

GUWAHATI: The Noonmati Police has arrested the Manager of Union Co-operative Bank Ltd, Noonmati Branch for allegedly siphoning off money from customers.

According to a police source, the accused Manager, H Monilal Sinha (53), a native of Cachar, siphoned off around Rs 4 lakh.

In this regard, a case (443/2021) was registered following complaints lodged by customers.

Sinha was arrested from Nellie and was presented before the Court on Sunday. He has been forwarded to judicial custody.
