North Guwahati Police arrested three people in a rape case

GUWAHATI: The North Guwahati Police arrested three people from Guwahati Railway Station on Saturday, in connection to the gang-rape of a minor girl. The accused have been identified as Niku Ali, Haider Ali and Bipul Kalita. The incident took place on Thursday when the accused allegedly kidnapped the victim who was a minor from Paltan Bazar railway station and later gang-raped her at the Ferry Ghat. The girl was found in an unconscious state on Friday morning. Later the accused were arrested by the police on the basis of the victim’s statement.
