GUWAHATI: In a step towards providing convenience to rail travellers, additional stoppage for two minutes has been provided on train no. 12377/12378 (Sealdah - New Alipurduar - Sealdah) Padatik Express at New Changrabandha railway station under Alipurduar Division of N. F. Railway (NFR).  MP Lok Sabha of Jalpaiguri (West Bengal), Dr. Jayanta Kumar Roy flagged off the Padatik Express on Sunday, with the new stoppage. Paresh Chandra Adhikari, MLA from West Bengal and Amar Jit Gautam, Divisional Railway Manager of Alipurduar Division (NFR), alongwith other senior railway officials and dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

Train no. 12377 (Sealdah- New Alipurduar) Padatik Express that started its journey from Sealdah on February 1, 2025, arrived at New Changrabandha railway station, next day of its journey i.e. February 2, 2025, at 10:35 hours and departed at 10:37 hours. Similarly, Train no. 12378 (New Alipurduar - Sealdah) Padatik Express that commenced its journey on February 2, 2025 from New Alipurduar arrived New Changrabandha station on the same day at 19:00 hours and departed at 19:02 hours. This new stoppage is expected to fulfil a long-standing demand of the local people towards better connectivity, a press release said.
