Pramod Boro slaps Rs100 crore defamation suit against Hagrama Mohilary

GUWAHATI: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Pramod Boro on Thursday filed a defamation suit against former BTC CEM and president of the Bodoland People's Front (BPF), Hagrama Mohilary.

Boro filed a Rs 100-crore defamation suit against Mohilary at the District and Sessions court, Guwahati. In January this year, arms and ammunition were recovered during a raid in the house of former MLA Hitesh Basumatary. In that context, Mohilary had commented that Boro had 'planted' the arms and ammunition in Basumatary's house.

In this regard, Pramod Boro has filed the defamation case against Mohilary.
