Railway Protection Force (RPF) Recovers Contraband Worth Rs 7.42 Lakh

GUWAHATI: Stepping up its drives against smuggling of contraband through Railways, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel of NF Railway have recovered various contraband items like cannabis, foreign cigarettes and whisky worth about Rs 7.42 lakh during the period from September 2 to 22, 2019. The contraband was recovered during regular checks and special drives at various stations and trains over N.F. Railway. The RPF personnel successfully apprehended one person involved in trafficking contraband liquor at Katihar railway station on September 16, 2019, a press release stated.
