Rajkanya Baruah sent to Police custody

* Senior doctor issued summons

* DGP serves 'showcause notice' to DCP (East)

GUWAHATI: The Court of CJM (Chief Judicial Magistrate), Kamrup Metro sent model Rajkanya Baruah to one-day police custody on Thursday. In another development, Dispur Police issued summons to senior doctor of GNRC (Guwahati Neurological Research Centre)Dr. Navanil Baruah. Sources added that Dr Baruah is an uncle of the accused person. Allegedly he ensured that his neice could be admitted into the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) of the hospital.

Meanwhile, the DGP (Director General of Police) has sent a showcause notice to DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police) East for not doing the investigation in a proper way.
