GUWAHATI: Sadou Asom TET Utrrino Sikshak Samaj had its executive meeting on Wednesday regarding the recent decision made by the Education Minister, Dr. Ranoj Pegu, on the regularization of the contractual teacher posts under Samagra Shiksha Assam (SSA) and state pool teachers.
The executive meeting took a key resolution regarding the regularization of posts with pay security and the fact that the Samaj will be writing letters to the Chief Minister, Education Minister, Secretary Education Department, Director of SSA, and Secretary Finance Department and urging them to discuss the regularization matter.
The second resolution that the Samaj took was that on November 19, all the block committees of the Samaj will organise a meeting, and through the media, they will publicise the discontentment of the teachers regarding the regularization of posts.
The third resolution stated that all the contractual teachers will be writing letters to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister so that the services are regularized with pay security.
The teachers adopted a resolution to start an agitation on November 23 if the government doesn't meet their demands. The agitation programme will last two hours and be staged in all offices of the Block Elementary Education Office (BEEO). If the government still does not take positive steps, then in the month of December, it will be staging massive protests state-wise.
By the end of December, the Samaj will be staging protests in New Delhi.
