Retired engineer of PHE Department KC Thakuria passes away

Thakuria complained of breathless in the morning at his home in Dispur, Wireless as he was rushed to hospital and the doctors declared him dead after a brief spell of treatment. He was very popular and amiable in the society. His death brought a pall of gloom in the area.

Late Thakuria after his superannuation from the government job devoted himself in social service as he was engaged in different social and voluntary organizations.

He left behind his wife Rini Thakuria, his daughter Jinti Das, a former Deputy Secretary and son Mantu Thakuria who is a Superintendent of Police and a host of relatives and well-wishers.
