Rotary Club of Guwahati Smart City presents ‘Sharad Swikriti - Durga Puja Awards 2023’

GUWAHATI: NGO Rotary Club of Guwahati Smart City recently announced 'Sharad Swikriti - Durga Puja Awards 2023'. During the award ceremony GMC Ward 18 Councillor Mr. Sankar Chakraborty was the Chief Guest and Bolin Bordoloi officiated as Guest of Honour, along with other prominent dignitaries.

On Sunday, an award distribution ceremony was organized by the Rotary Club where the winning Durga Puja Committees are awarded in various categories.

Club President Ravi Agarwala, while giving the welcome address, said that this award was organized for the first time by the Rotary Club with the aim of encouraging various Durga Puja committees of the Guwahati through Sharad Swikriti - Durga Puja Awards 2023 .

Chairman of the program, Dr. Mantu Paul said that after visiting the idols, lighting decorations and pandals made by various Durga Puja committees in different areas of the city were adjudged and the names of the winners were announced by the jury team. The declared winners were rewarded in this Program Organized On Sunday.

Sharad Swikriti - Durga Puja Awards 2023 were presented for different categories, for Best Idol - Rehabari Bilpar Durga Puja Committee (Winner), Nayantara Club Puja Samitee (Runners Up), Best Lighting - Bhaskar Nagar Sarbojanin Durga Puja Committee (Winner), Rest Camp Kalibari (Runners Up), Best Pandal - Chatribari Sarbojanin Debo Pujasthan Samity (Winner), Athgaon Sarvajanik Durga Puja Samity (Runners Up), Best Eco Friendly Pandal - Brihottor Odalbakra Sarbajonin Puja Mandir Committee.

Program coordinator Manas Majumdar said that in the award distribution ceremony, the members from all the puja committees were rewarded by the club. Club Secretary Abhishek Jain said that in view of the immense success of the program organized this year, the club will organize Sharad Swikriti - Durga Puja Awards 2023 in the coming years. The officials of various puja committees present in the program also praised the club's efforts wholeheartedly.
