Sadou Asom Karmachari Parishad demands cancellation of order freezing promotion of employees

GUWAHATI: The Sadou Asom Karmachari Parishad (SAKP) has alleged that the due promotions have not taken place only because of the indifference of the state government, and this has created difficulties for the employees at the secretariat, district, and revenue circle levels.

President Dwipen Sarma and Secretary Dilip Kalita mentioned that the state government has frozen all promotions of all junior assistants with the office memo number ABP280866 published on March 3, 2023. On the other hand, the notification numbered ABP159/98/8 published in 1999 ordered the filling of all vacant positions by the annual promotions of the employees. But since the heads of the respective departments have not taken due action, the employees at various levels remain without promotion, leading to stagnation in the work of several departments.

They also alleged that while the senior officials received their promotions on time, those belonging to the lower levels were ignored. So the association has demanded that proper action be taken in this direction, immediately taking back the office memo freezing the promotions.
