SAGMDJP, Guwahati district committee distributes essential commodities to journalists

GUWAHATI: The Sadou Axom Goriya Moriya Deshi Jatiya Parishad (SAGMDJP), Guwahati District Committee distributed essential commodities to those engaged in the field of journalism in Guwahati. In view of the crucial situation due to COVID-19, the SAGMDJP, Guwahati Committee distributed goods to over 50 journalists of different media houses.

The Parishad's Guwahati District Committee president in-charge Ismail Ali distributed the items with financial help of social workers namely Nurul Hoque, MH Choudhury, Ajnur Ali, Sahid Ali Ahmed and Suresh Prasad. Dispur Press Club too extended its support in this initiative taken by the GMDJP for those journalists who are not economically sound. Dispur Press Club and the Journalist Association for Assam (JAFA) earlier had made an appeal to various organizations to extend help to the economically unsound journalists of different parts of the state.
