Sai Vikash Vidya Niketan School Celebrates Eid And Environment Day

GUWAHATI: The students of Sai Vikash Vidya Niketan celebrated pre-Enviornment day and Eid in the premise of Sai Vikash Institution, Ganeshguri with great enthusiasm on Tuesday. It started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and prayer service which was conducted by chanting of the GayatriMantra, depicting Hinduism followed by Christianity, Islamism, Buddhism, and Sikhism, to visualize harmony among all religions.

Apart from this, students of Sai Vikash offered Namaz in school’s premise leading to a serene environment. As a part of the rituals, eittar was smeared to all the dignitaries and teachers to mark the holy celebration of Eid. As per a press release, another celebration was held to mark the World Environment Day with the beautiful song Xewji-Xewji Xewji o, Xewji dhoroni dhunia, Sung by the middle section of the school. An awareness skit on environment too was enacted by the students along with a speech competition on “Importance of saving Mother Earth”.

Lastly the Managing Director of the Institution Srinivas Reddy rendered a very inspiring and motivational speech where he encouraged the students with the importance of saving and protecting the environment. He also said the values of planting trees as well as the negative effects of using plastics. At the end, the programme was concluded with a pledge from all by promising to plant more trees and save the environment from all the threats from non living to human beings.
