Salesian Province To Celebrates Diamond Jubilee this year

GUWAHATI: The Salesian province of Mary help of Christians, Guwahati will be celebrating its Diamond Jubilee on October 15,16 and 17. Preparations are on in full swing to celebrate this event and it will indeed be a meaningful event spiritual or otherwise.

Head and provincial of the Salesian province of Guwahati, Fr Januarius Sangma said that on the October 15 and 16, there will be a symposium on the theme of missionary Evangelisation and catechesis at Don Bosco institute, Guwahati which will be inaugurated by Fr Francesco Cereda SDB, vicar general salesan congregations headquartered in Rome. On October 17, the Diamond Jubilee celebration will be held at Don Bosco school premises, Panbazar. Worship and prayers will begin at 9.30 am in the school ground followed by a solemn Eucharistic celebration at 10.3Oam presided over by Fr Francesco Cereda. At 2.3O pm, there will be public function through a cultural extravaganza, during which pioneers, past salesian, dignitaries and officials will be felicitated.
