Satabdi Kalita crowned Patmadoi winner at Beltola Bihu festival

GUWAHATI: The Beltola Bohagi Utsav was held for three days from April 24 to 26 at Beltola Vidlaya Playground. On the first day, there was a flag hoisting followed by lighting of lamps, a tribute to martyrs and sports. In the evening, a husori and patmadoi competition was arranged, which ended with a cultural evening.

On the second day, the husori competition awards were distributed, won by 4th Assam Police Battalion, Kahilipara, while Rangman Anajuri group from Sivsagar bagged the second prize. This was followed by a souvenir and cultural evening. The last day, the patmadoi competition award was given away to winner Satabdi Kalita from Sivsagar. She was given prize money of Rs 2 lakh, a trophy and a citation.

The Best Dhulia was won by Pankaj Das, who received prize money of Rs 20 thousand, while the Best Pepua was won by Dhajya Baruah from Dhemaji and he received prize money of Rs 25 thousand.
