Scribe distributes food items to 40 families amid lockdown in Sonapur

GUWAHATI: A journalist from Sonapur has distributed food items to 40 needy families, on Saturday. The journalist, Kamal Krishna Deka, individually visited the families in Sonapur’s Baruabari area and distributed 3 kg rice, lentils, potatoes, salt, mustard oil, biscuits and soaps to each family. Besides distributing the food items, Deka made the people aware about the preventive measures to tackle coronavirus. He appealed the people to maintain hygiene and follow the lockdown norms. Deka said that earlier with assistance from a local youth he had sanitized his locality.
