'Seniority list of primary teachers under process' Says ARPSS

GUWAHATI: The Asom Rajyik Prathamik Shikshak Sanmilani (ARPSS) has said that the Education department is now sorting out the seniority list of teachers for the creation of posts for headmasters of primary schools. In a statement issued to the media, ARPSS secretary general Ratul Chandra Goswami said, "We had meetings with the Education Minister on November 5 and 14 during which the creation of posts of headmasters was agreed upon. The Education Minister has also exchanged opinions on this with three experienced and meritorious teachers of each district. The meeting also decided to increase earned leave up to 30 days from the existing ten days now. The process towards that end is also advancing."
